Clean TV Series File Names

The current version of Media Center Master is 2.14. Version 1.32 has been used for many the examples in the wiki, so beware that some of the options may be expanded or look different than various screen shots.

Official/Unofficial Wiki Pages Most of the content on the wiki was written by fans and users like yourself. If a page is marked as Official, then the content was written with official information (usually by the software author).


The Series Name must match the fetcher's site name, be sure to have it correctly spelled.

The season/episode format must come after the series name. Acceptable formats:

Single episode file -
SXXEYY,  or  XxYY,  or  XYY,  or  AAA(*)
Back-to-back, multi-episode file (with or without the hyphen) -
SXXEYY-EYY,  or  XxYY-YY,  or  XYY-YY

An existing collection of TV Series should follow the file and folder structure example, shown below.

Season 1 - folder
Series Name S01E01 episode title.avi - file
Series Name S01E02 episode title.avi - file
Series Name S01E03 episode title.avi - file
Series Name S01E04 episode title.avi - file
Season 2 - folder

AAA(*): three (3) digit alternative episode numbers - only if the episode numbers are listed at theTVDB.
